The Council of the Order of Ecumenical Franciscans stand against the wanton cruelty and dehumanization being perpetrated by the current American administration via both Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Customs and Border Patrol in communities across the United States. We stand with those who are seeking to disrupt these operations through peaceful means. We also stand with those immigrants who are simply trying to make a living and live their lives in peace and dignity. We are called to welcome the stranger and the foreigner and our society is much better when we embrace these folks.
